Keyboard

Every layout is two keys away.

Control and Option, plus an arrow or a letter. The defaults match Rectangle, so your hands already know them. Change any of them in Settings.

Drag to snap

Or just throw it at an edge.

Drag a window toward an edge or a corner and a preview shows where it will land. Let go, and it’s there.

  • Sides for halves, corners for quarters
  • Top to maximize, bottom for thirds
  • Drag it back out and it returns to its old size

Dead zones

Keep windows off the edge you can’t see.

A monitor’s bottom strip can sit behind a stand or a speaker. Mark it once in Settings, and every snap and maximize on that display stops above it.

  • Per display — top, left, bottom, or right
  • Quick sets for Bottom 20, 40, and 60
  • Remembered while the monitor is unplugged

Exact action

Press it again. Nothing moves.

Some window managers change the size each time you repeat a shortcut. Frame doesn’t. Left half is left half, however many times you press it.

Settings

Settings that look like System Settings.

A sidebar, rounded cards, and a shortcut recorder for every action. Rectangle users can bring their shortcuts, gaps, and snap options across in one click.

Allow Accessibility. macOS asks once. Frame needs it to move other apps’ windows.
